Our History

MOUNTAIN HOUSE WOLVERINES

The Mountain House Wolverines is the first Amateur Athletics Union (AAU) traveling basketball club based in Mountain House, California, a small town nestled in the Altamont Pass 50 miles east of San Francisco.

Our program began in April 2011 when 5th grade girls from Bethany and Questa schools in Mountain House went on to play competitive AAU Tournaments with coach Reno Ursal. This team’s first tournament was at Paye’s Place in San Carlos and went on to travel to Las Vegas, NV for the Jam On It Tournament (July 2011). Since then, the Wolverines have not only won a few tournaments, they have represented themselves with integrity and class. Our program emphasizes skill development and increasing basketball IQ, which usually results with a child’s confidence growing. Since AAU is so competitive, we work to have competitive rosters. However, we stay loyal to our players who work through the program. We know that loyalty and integrity are attributes we want our kids to emulate.

All of our teams proudly represent Mountain House and Tracy at AAU tournaments throughout Northern California and nationally.
